While giving a leader for the FNP to the Deathwing sounds great, I am not sure where I could shave off the points. The Deathwing Knights stand resplendent in the iconography of the Dark Angels and Space Marines, as well as wing motifs, rivets, searchlights and studs. They are garbed in long robes, hold huge storm shields, and the weapons included are the Mace of Absolution, while the Knight Master holds the flail of the Unforgiven. The kit includes the eerie-looking miniature of the Watcher in the Dark, which embraces a Perfidious Relic, and stands in a long cloak – out of which pokes a power-armoured foot. This fantastic box set will provide numerous options for the Warhammer 40,000 collector and modeller alike. The Deathwatch are not a Chapter per se, but rather an organisation that takes the best and brightest of the Space Marine Chapters for dedicated xenos hunting. The demands of their missions – which might find them chasing down Aeldari one day and rooting out a Genestealer Cult another – require flexibility above all, and all Deathwatch Veterans are trained to enact varying Mission Tactics at the perfect moment to succeed against impossible odds. The hammer of the Inner Circle, the Deathwing is an assault force capable of teleporting straight into the midst of battle, ripping the heart out of the enemy with a well placed strike while withstanding tremendous amounts of return fire. My use of them has turned from my lynchpin monsters to some kind of a hybrid midfield threat/ deepstrike mind game. 5 man is underwhelming for the points, and I'm worried that when at ten they'll be able to make use of the Apothecary/Ancient, but at nearly a quarter of your points will still be underwhelming. If I play a pure DW army, I'm ok too because I already have 3 or 4 termis units as scoring and the SoF may give FNP to all of them. You can only select these tactics once per game, but each is quite strong with either Lethal Hits, Sustained Hits, or Precision abilites.
